A communications professional since 2000, I have worked in journalism and marketing. I have written for Rolling Out Chicago, The Root.com, RedEye.com (a Chicago Tribune publication), the Chicago Tribune, JET, The Atlantic, the Stanford Social Innovation Review, Reuters, and the Bulletin of the American College of Surgeons. I was also a full-time reporter for the trade publication Behavioral Health Business.
As a writer, I have been fortunate to have covered a variety of topics, and am especially interested in stories about economics, innovations, and culture. I hold a bachelor’s in economics from Morehouse College and a master’s from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. I can be found on Facebook and on Twitter at @kyleaco (I very much still am trying to master the Twitter galaxy).
